About Me

I use photography as a self-prescribed method  to deal with long-term illness. I try to create meaningful images. I am not a business.  My work is always pro bono.

Although best known for my “Faces of the Elderly” project, I also do portraits for people of all ages,  emotive nudes and nature shots as strength permits.

My work with the elderly  has been featured in “The New Mexican,” the “Albuquerque Journal,” and the “Santa Fe Reporter.”

Gallery exhibits include: Harwood Art Center, Albuquerque; Foto Forum, Santa Fe;  New Mexico Arts League, Albuquerque;  Eggman & Walrus Gallery, Santa Fe; Salmagundi Gallery, Manhattan; Monmouth Museum, Lincroft, N.J.; Gallerium, Vancouver, Canada; the National Council on Aging, Arlington, Va.; North River Arts Association, Marshfield Hills, Mass.,  and other venues.

My photos have been honored multiple times by “Black & White” magazine, the Guild of Creative Art, Salmagundi Gallery, Photo-Artfolio and the Australian Photographic  Judges Association.

Prior to being disabled in 1997, I worked as a writer and editor in the newspaper business for 25 years. I covered everything from high school football games to White House press conferences.

I have also tutored schoolchildren and delivered meals for Kitchen Angels.
